Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring all food safety standards are met. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and hospitality to showcase their leadership and culinary expertise in a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will possess excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Full Bupa Health Cover will be provided after 3 months employments

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Assist with menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control and ordering of supplies
Train new team members in food preparation, safety protocols, and service standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within hospitality or restaurant environments
Supervising experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Demonstrable skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or catering is preferred
