About RKLSwims
RKLSwims is an award-winning, family-run swim school based in Crosshands, Carmarthenshire. We teach children from age 3 upwards, helping them build water confidence, water safety awareness and essential swimming skills in a positive, supportive environment.
We are an STA Star Swim School with small class sizes, a friendly team and a strong focus on high-quality teaching, child confidence and swimmer progression.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic Swimming Teachers, Swim Instructors or trainee teachers to join our growing team.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children, is confident in the water and wants a rewarding part-time role where they can make a real difference. You may already hold a recognised swimming teaching qualification, or you may be looking for support to gain your qualifications and begin your teaching career.
You will be teaching children’s swimming lessons in small groups, supporting swimmers with confidence, technique, safety skills and progression through the RKLSwims pathway.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, fun and engaging children’s swimming lessons.
- Support swimmers from age 3 upwards with water confidence and skill development.
- Follow RKLSwims lesson structures, safety procedures and safeguarding expectations.
- Communicate positively with swimmers, parents and the wider team.
- Help create a welcoming, inclusive and professional lesson environment.
- Track swimmer progress and support children towards their next goals.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
- Confidence in the water and enthusiasm for swimming.
- Strong communication skills with children, parents and staff.
- A recognised swimming teacher qualification is preferred, such as STA Level 1, STA Level 2, ASA or Swim England.
- Newly qualified teachers are welcome.
- Trainee applicants may be considered, with funded training available for the right person.
- Lifeguard qualification is welcome but not essential.
Applicants aged 16+ are welcome to apply, subject to suitability, safeguarding requirements and role responsibilities.
