Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a talented, conscientious and creative Kitchen and Bedroom Designer to join our dynamic team initially to cover maternity leave but with a view to developing into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, helping clients create their dream kitchens and bedrooms. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, providing innovative design solutions, and ensuring a seamless experience from concept to completion. This role requires strong communication skills, a firm understanding of the installation process and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their kitchen design preferences and requirements.
Create detailed kitchen layouts using specific software and Salesforce.
Present design concepts to clients, incorporating their feedback into final designs.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
Assist in upselling products and services that enhance the overall design.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Maintain organised project documentation and schedules.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the design process.

Qualifications

Proficiency in design software and design concepts. Training provided for latest software.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Excellent communication skills in English and Welsh.
Experience in sales or upselling within a retail or design environment is preferred.
A creative mindset with a passion for interior design, particularly kitchens.
Previous experience in kitchen design or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.

Start date is the end of September 2026 in order to facilitate a handover and in house training period with maternity leave cover commencing in December.
