Job Summary
Llandudno Maesdu Golf Club have a exciting opportunity to employ an Assistant Greenkeeper to support the current greenkeeping team in maintaining the Championship Course to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sports turf maintenance but training can be provided.
Mechanical knowledge and qualifications will be an a advantage in this role but not essential.
The candidate will assist in maintaining the fleet of machinery and responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repair & servicing work to all golf course equipment. This includes repairs and servicing to ride-on mowers, handheld power tools, and utility vehicles.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our Championship Golf Course, ensuring that the landscape is healthy, attractive, for members and visitors. This role requires a passion for the outdoors and grounds maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain The Golf Course to the highest standard.
- Bunker maintenance, course set up for competitions.
- Winter works, course renovations, landscaping and drainage installation.
- Operate ride on machinery and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Skills Required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude, attention to detail
- Proven experience in ground keeping or a related field is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to repair and service ride on machinery, hand tools. Wielding an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
- Good physical fitness, capable of performing manual laboring tasks, They must be a trusted team player and have good time management, organisational, and communication skills.
- All Health and Safety matters must be adhered to protect and promote a safe working environment.
The successful applicant will report to the Course Manager.
Full driving licence is required.
