Are you ready to join Mondelez’s largest Cocoa processing site and be part of the Cadbury supply chain? Safety is of the utmost priority in Mondelez, and we are looking to recruit a passionate safety leader to drive a positive safety culture within our Chirk Plant located in North Wales, just on the English border. Chirk is commutable from Chester, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Telford and Liverpool.
Along with your direct report, the site Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the HS&E agenda for the Chirk and driving a safety culture through engagement of our people.
You will manage the delivery of all HS&E activities in behavioural safety and engagement, including ensuring compliance to the Mondelez safety standards & procedures, capability processes, reporting, compliance and audit. That means you will define and review standards and legislation applicable to site, validate design for HS&E into projects and modifications, and support defined work processes to improve HSE application and effectiveness. Also, you will map all applicable legislation and internal standards, ensure ongoing compliance and manage relationships with legal department and local authorities. You will maintain all HSE regulatory requirements for plant.
How you will contribute
You will:
You will develop the annual Safety, Environment and Sustainability improvement plans for the Chirk site with sponsorship from the Plant Manager and HSE Cluster Director.
Develop HS&E strategy and agenda for the site, through the Manufacturing Sections, participating in management reviews. Coach and support the Factory Leadership Team at all levels at site and Departmental Management in delivery of their local HS&E agenda.
Lead the HS&E Specialist, as well as coaching and providing strong support to the wider site.
Drive and support the implementation of the Mondelez International Safety, Security and Environment Standards, ensuring best practices are adopted, and standardized actions plans are developed and implemented across the full site.
Ensure relevant Safety, Security and Environment training requirements are identified for the site, and that appropriate training packages are developed and delivered to support the implementation of Mondelez standards/procedures, and to meet legal compliance.
Drive safety culture through engagement and use of Integrated Lean 6 sigma tools.
What you will bring

Experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Practitioner preferably within a manufacturing or commercial environment
An agile & flexible approach
Strong people management experience
A willingness to make a difference.
Experience of coaching individuals,
Strong experience of implementing a cultural change in a HS&E context
Demonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project management.
Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Experience with Health and Safety audit
