Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to run the dining room of a new fine dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and service standards. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer experiences are met. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
- Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with hygiene regulations
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to maintain high service standards
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
- Ensure the restaurant environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service
Experience
- Proven experience in Michelin star establishments is much preferred but not necessary
- Must have knowledge and a strong background with wine (essential)
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of serving protocols and customer service excellence is essential
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Additional experience in culinary arts or barista roles is considered beneficial but not mandatory
