Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail to contribute to diverse projects within the construction and renovation sectors. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team, delivering professional decorating services across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and finishes.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
Decorate walls, ceilings, woodwork, fixtures, and other surfaces according to project specifications.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition; organise supplies for efficient workflow.
Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate finishes as required by clients or project managers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Good command of English language skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills are essential for understanding project requirements and liaising with clients professionally.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail coupled with organisational skills to ensure neatness and quality of work.
Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks such as lifting equipment and working at heights if required.

Pay: £125.00-£150.00 per day
