Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Scaffolder / Scaffold Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the erection, dismantling, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various sites. Rates are set on qualifications and experience. Driving licence essential. must be able to get to the yard in Magor to start at 7.30, finishing time 4pm. Monday-Friday. Overtime available.

Responsibilities

Assist in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding structures in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
Ensure scaffolding is erected securely and safely for use by workers at height.
Carry out routine inspections of scaffolding components to identify any defects or hazards.
Support skilled scaffolders with material handling and preparation tasks.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency on site.
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during all activities.
Assist with other general labouring duties as required by the site supervisor.

Skills

Basic understanding of scaffolding desirable.
Experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction work.
Ability to work at heights safely and comfortably.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong teamwork ethic and reliable work attitude. This role provides an excellent pathway into the construction industry, offering practical experience across multiple trades alongside the opportunity to develop specialised skills in scaffolding and site safety practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.71-£22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
