Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Breakfast Chef or Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Hotel Wroxham ,Wroxham and Scarborough Hill Inn, North Walsham. These roles are vital in ensuring our guests enjoy high-quality breakfast offerings that reflect our commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.

Hours: Early morning shifts, including weekends and bank holidays as required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team, with the possibility of working across both hotels. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality breakfast service, ensuring guests receive a consistently excellent dining experience while maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a range of breakfast dishes to a high standard.
- Set up and organise the kitchen for breakfast service.
- Ensure buffet and cooked breakfast items are replenished throughout service.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Maintain food hygiene and health & safety standards in accordance with company policies and legislation.
- Manage stock rotation and minimise food waste.
- Assist with ordering and stock control as required.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained correctly.
- Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth breakfast service.
- Support the wider kitchen operation when required.
- Travel between both hotel locations as business needs dictate.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or similar kitchen role.
- Good knowledge of breakfast preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings.
Desirable
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
- Experience working in hotels or high-volume hospitality environments.
- Full driving licence and access to transport.

Typical Shift Pattern
- Start times between 7.00 am and 8.00 am.
- Finish times between 11:00am and 2:00pm depending on occupancy and business levels and chefs availability
- Weekend and holiday working required on a rota basis.
