Deli Counter Server

Location: Gripps Farm, Brotton, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, TS12 2QU
Opening: Late July 2026
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Position: Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Join Us for an Exciting New Chapter at Gripps Farm

Gripps Farm is a family-run business with a passion for quality food, local produce, and creating memorable experiences for visitors. As part of our exciting expansion, we are opening a brand-new farm shop and delicatessen counter as part of our growing visitor destination.

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Deli Counter Servers to join our team and help create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with high-quality local produce, artisan foods, and freshly prepared products while being part of an exciting new venture from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge at the deli counter.
Serve, prepare, slice, weigh, and package deli products to customer requirements.
Maintain attractive and well-stocked displays throughout the day.
Assist customers with recommendations and information about products.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment and rotation of products.
Support the wider farm shop team during busy periods.
Help create a welcoming and friendly environment for all visitors.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer service.
Has a passion for good food and local produce.
Has previous retail, deli, food service, hospitality, or customer-facing experience (preferred but not essential).
Is confident, friendly, and approachable.
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Works well as part of a team and is willing to learn.
Is flexible and able to work weekends and busy seasonal periods.
