Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working in a vibrant café setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Ensure food safety standards are consistently maintained throughout all food preparation and service activities.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and professional service at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and manage basic maths calculations for change.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Assist with food preparation tasks when required, supporting the overall functioning of the café.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can enhance your customer service skills while working as part of a dynamic team committed to quality service.
