Full job description

Job title: Facilities / Maintenance Operative

Location: Billingham

Role Overview

The Maintenance Operative will report to the Facilities co-ordinator , managing maintenance and repairs, ensuring works are resolved effectively, this role will be responsible for maintenance work across our properties

Key Responsibilities

General building and grounds maintenance including plumbing, joinery, decoration, minor work, and general repairs.
Undertaking maintenance tasks as directed and prioritise tasks accordingly
Collect and deliver items as requested including furniture, lab equipment etc.
Waste removal and disposable
Winterisation ensuring footpaths and roads are cleared and treated
Compliance duties including PATesting, Fire Alarms testing, Emergency lighting testing etc.
Confidence using IT systems to record and input data on CMM System

Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role, with confidence carrying out general handyperson and maintenance tasks
Good practical skills across a variety of repair and maintenance tasks
Good communication skills
Competent with IT
Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A willingness to work flexibly, including outside normal hours when needed to maintain service continuity.

Additional Information

Working 37.5 Hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,960.00-£26,130.00 per year
