About One Club
We’re building a new home for padel in Hartlepool.
7 indoor courts - A warm clubhouse - Good games. Open doors.
One Club is being built for the could-go-pro-ers and the just-having-a-go-ers. For people who love sport, good company, and staying for “one more drink” after the match should’ve finished 20 minutes ago.
Now we’re looking for someone to help bring the place to life.
Not just run the desk.
Help shape the atmosphere.
The role
This is a hands-on role at the centre of the club.
Some days you’ll be helping players find games. Some days you’ll be filming content courtside. Some days you’ll be making coffee, cleaning glass, sorting scoreboards or helping run a tournament.
No two shifts will feel the same.
You’ll be one of the first faces people see when they walk through the door, so warmth, energy and attitude matter just as much as experience.
What you’ll be doing
Front of house & clubhouse
- Welcoming players and helping the club feel alive from the moment they arrive
- Helping with bookings, questions and day-to-day player support
- Serving drinks, coffees and simple food/snacks
- Keeping the clubhouse clean, warm and ready for people to stay a little longer.
Community & content
- Capturing simple day-to-day content for Instagram, TikTok and Stories
- Posting short updates, reminders and results into WhatsApp groups
- Helping players find games and introducing people at similar levels
- Supporting leagues, socials, ladders and tournaments
Courts & operations
- Keeping courts, glass, nets and social areas clean and presentable
- Checking changing rooms and shared spaces throughout shifts
- Reporting maintenance issues early
- Helping set up and pack down events and club nights

Application question(s):
- This role includes regular evenings and weekends. Are you able to work:
Mornings (from 6.30 am), Evenings (approx 4–11 pm) and Weekends (at least one day most weekends)
- Do you live within a 30‑minute commute of Grayfields Pavilion in Hartlepool, and are you able to reliably travel to early and late shifts?
- In 3–5 sentences, tell us about any experience you have in hospitality, sport, leisure or customer‑facing roles.
What parts did you actually enjoy the most?
- This job includes cleaning courts and club areas, moving equipment, and tidying changing rooms, as well as serving customers.
How do you feel about that mix of jobs, and what makes you a good fit for it?
- Imagine it’s a busy evening. Some players are new and look a bit lost, others are regulars at the bar.
In a few sentences, describe what you’d actually do in your shift to make sure everyone feels welcome and looked after.
- Part of the role is taking quick videos/photos on your phone for social media (nothing fancy – just real moments from the club).
How comfortable are you with that, and can you share any examples (personal or work) where you’ve done something similar?
- Why do you want to work specifically at a padel club in Hartlepool, and what do you think you’d bring to One Club that most applicants won’t?
