Job Title: Door Supervisor / Venue Security (Friendly & Outgoing)

Location: Milton Street Market, The Old Methodist Church, Milton street, Saltburn by the Sea.

Salary: From £13.50 - £16.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Primarily weekends and evenings)

The Role: What we are looking for

We are seeking professional, licensed Door Supervisors who understand that they are the very first and very last face our guests see. If you are naturally polite, courteous, and understanding, you will fit right in.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to stand in the corner looking imposing. We want an outgoing personality who loves engaging with people, greeting regulars, and setting a positive tone for the night—all while maintaining a highly professional, watchful eye over our guests, staff, and venue.

Key Responsibilities:

The Warmest Welcome: Greet guests on arrival with a smile, working alongside our front-of-house team to manage queues and entry smoothly.
Proactive Hospitality: Be approachable and helpful. Whether a guest needs directions or has a question about the venue, you are there to assist with a courteous attitude.
Watchful Safety: Maintain excellent situational awareness to spot potential issues before they escalate. Your presence should make guests feel safe and relaxed.
De-escalation First: Use your exceptional communication skills and understanding nature to diffuse situations calmly, respectfully, and professionally.
Licensing Compliance: Confidently enforce licensing laws, including ID checks (Challenge 25) and capacity limits, always acting as a proud ambassador for our venue.

What You’ll Need:

A valid, current SIA Door Supervisor Licence (Mandatory).
An outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude—you genuinely enjoy interacting with the public.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
A calm under pressure, empathetic, and understanding approach to conflict resolution.
Reliability, punctuality, and pride in your professional appearance.
Right to work in the UK.
