We are looking for an organised, proactive, and customer-focused Project Coordinator & Shop Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our curtain and interior furnishings business. This role combines project coordination, customer service, showroom support, and administrative duties to ensure a seamless experience for clients from initial enquiry through to installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate curtain, blind, upholstery, and interior furnishing projects from quotation to completion.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, workrooms, and installers to ensure projects progress smoothly and on schedule.
- Track orders, deliveries, and installation dates.
- Maintain project records, schedules, and client communications.
- Assist with preparing quotations, invoices, and project documentation.
- Follow up with clients regarding approvals, measurements, and project updates.
Shop & Showroom Support
- Welcome clients and provide a professional and friendly customer experience.
- Assist customers in selecting fabrics, curtain styles, tracks, poles, and related products.
- Prepare samples and displays for client consultations.
- Maintain the showroom's appearance, ensuring displays are organised and up to date.
- Manage sample libraries and supplier catalogues.
Administration
- Answer phone calls, emails, and customer enquiries.
- Schedule appointments, site visits, and consultations.
- Process orders and maintain accurate records in company systems.
- Support stock management and ordering of samples and supplies.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office software.
- Experience in interiors, curtains, soft furnishings, retail, or project coordination is desirable.
- A keen eye for design, colour, and fabric selection is an advantage.
