Head Chef at the Bush Tavern;

The Bush Tavern is looking for an experienced and ambitious Head Chef to lead the next chapter of our food offering.

Located in the heart of Shepherd's Bush, we're a vibrant 90-seat pub with a fantastic team, a fully fitted kitchen, and exciting plans for the future. Since opening, we've partnered with a successful kitchen residency, but we're now bringing food in-house and are looking for the right chef to help shape and deliver our vision.

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up.

The Food; We're not looking to create a sprawling gastropub menu. We want to do a small number of things exceptionally well.

The menu will be centred around a seriously good burger that people come back for time and again, supported by a concise selection of bar snacks and sharing plates — think outstanding gildas, crisp croquettes, fresh seasonal salads, and the kind of snacks that perfectly accompany a pint.

Simple. Delicious. High quality.

The Role;

As Head Chef, you'll have responsibility for running the kitchen and helping us develop a food offering that becomes a destination in its own right.

You'll work closely with the owners and management team to create and evolve the menu, recruit and develop your kitchen team, manage food costs and suppliers, and ensure consistently excellent execution. Also taking repsonsility for all food and hygiene operations; including HACCP.

With plans to create a beautiful open kitchen space at the top of the venue, this is a chance to be part of a long-term project and leave your mark on a growing business.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
Loves simple food done exceptionally well
Understands how to build and maintain profitable kitchen operations
Can create systems, train teams and maintain high standards
Thrives in a busy pub environment
Brings energy, creativity and a collaborative approach
Wants to help build something exciting rather than simply inherit an existing operation
