Full job description

Barista & Shop Assistant – Bloom Works (Camberwell)

We’re looking for a Barista to join Bloom Works, a new café and retail space within The Nunhead Gardener in Camberwell.

Bloom Works brings together coffee, floristry, and curated homeware; a space designed for customers to slow down and enjoy their surroundings. This is a barista-first role with additional responsibilities across retail, cashiering, and day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality coffee and drinks consistently
Dial in espresso and maintain standards throughout the day
Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
Prepare and serve simple food
Open and close the space
Order café supplies and manage stock levels
Receive and process deliveries following health & safety procedures
Support customers across floristry and homeware
Process transactions and maintain the till area
Monitor equipment and report any maintenance issues

About you:

1–2 years barista experience preferred
Confident working with espresso and coffee equipment
Friendly, calm, and customer-focused
Reliable, punctual, and organised
Comfortable working in a busy environment
Interested in coffee, floristry, or interiors
