Full job description

We are looking to hire an experienced and reliable Site Manager / Working Site Manager to join our team on a long-term basis. This is a hands-on role, so we’re not looking for someone who just stands and supervises — you need to be comfortable getting involved on site when needed and supporting the team properly. The role is focused on running sites day-to-day, managing trades and labour, organising works, controlling materials, and making sure everything is delivered on time and to a high standard.

You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring materials are ordered and available when needed, and keeping the workflow running smoothly. A big part of the role is being able to read and understand drawings, details, and plans, and then make sure the work is carried out correctly. You should have good experience with construction works such as steel installations, RSJs, load-bearing alterations, and general building processes. You’ll also need to keep the site organised, safe, and professional at all times, while being able to spot issues early and deal with them quickly.

We’re looking for someone who has solid experience as a Site Manager or Working Foreman, who can confidently lead a team, give clear instructions, and take responsibility for the job. You need to be organised, practical, and a problem-solver who can think on their feet. Experience in residential refurbishments, extensions, and general site works is important. A driving licence is a big plus as you may need to move between sites and suppliers.

This role suits someone who knows construction inside out, can run a site without constant supervision, and is happy to lead by example. Experience is essential — this is not a junior role.
