Role: Geotechnical/Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Contract: Permanent
Location: London, Bristol or Glasgow

Salary: £40,000–£65,000 (DOE)

The Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated engineer with 3–6+ years’ experience in
geotechnical design, either approaching chartership or recently chartered. Maritime experience is
beneficial but not essential – what matters most is your ability to solve complex geotechnical
challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.

As a key member of our close-knit team, you’ll:

Take ownership of geotechnical aspects across all project stages, from due diligence and
masterplanning through to detailed design for construction.
Apply expertise in ground investigations, earth retaining structures, slope
stability/revetments, ground improvement, earthworks, and piled foundations (steel and
concrete).
Run geotechnical analyses using Plaxis 2D, WALLAP, Oasys (Python skills a plus).
Collaborate directly with clients, senior management, and multidisciplinary teams.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, passing on your knowledge and best practice.
Contribute to proposals, tenders, and site supervision.
Help embed sustainability and net-zero principles into our designs.

What We’re Looking For

A strong Master’s in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
Approaching or recently achieved chartership.
Proven experience in geotechnical design (maritime a bonus).
Skilled in relevant analysis software (Plaxis, WALLAP, Oasys).
Organised, proactive, and able to manage projects and teams.
A creative problem-solver with a collaborative approach.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
