Full job description

We're in search of an Medical Receptionist to become a valuable part of a friendly team. In this diverse role, you'll be instrumental in supporting various reception-related tasks to ensure the efficient operations of the medical practice.

We require someone with prior experience in the medical sector who can seamlessly integrate and contribute from day one.

Position Details:

Long-term locum opportunity, up to 5 days per week
Pay: £15.00 - £17.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the review of Docman correspondence to ensure that only items necessitating clinical attention are forwarded to GPs
Accurate coding of diagnoses from hospital letters and other correspondence in accordance with Practice protocols
Managing appointment requests, both for the current day and future appointments, via telephone and in-person interactions with patients
Handling visit requests
Managing new patient registrations, involving computer data entry and updating medical records
Handling changes of patient addresses in computer data and medical records, requiring familiarity with the practice's geographic area
Providing telephone coverage when required
Receiving and making calls as needed, redirecting calls and recording messages for Doctors' attention as appropriate
