Role Overview:

Job Title: Construction Buyer / Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

Criterion Capital are seeking a proactive Construction Buyer to join our dynamic Buying team. In this role, you’ll manage the full procurement cycle—from RFIs and RFPs to tendering, purchase order management, and invoice reconciliation. You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials are delivered on time and in full for large-scale projects across London.

As part of our supply chain strategy, you’ll identify risks and opportunities, recommend improvements to the Head of Procurement, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep projects moving efficiently. Criterion Capital are a privately-held real estate company based in London that owns, develops and manages a portfolio of prime commercial, residential and hotel properties.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement from budget stage through to completion for multiple projects.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and excellent service.
Raise and manage purchase orders using Yardi (or similar systems).
Coordinate deliveries with site logistics teams to ensure timely, complete arrivals.
Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in construction procurement (main contractor or sub-contractor).
Strong knowledge of tendering processes, RFIs, and RFPs.
Familiarity with Yardi or similar procurement software.
Commercial awareness and cost-saving track record.
Understanding of modern construction methods.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
