We are seeking a commercially minded, well-connected and driven Business Development Manager with experience in workplace consultancy, technology, commercial real estate or related professional services sectors. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and engaging with organisations navigating workplace transformation, growth and change.
We partner with leading FTSE and Fortune-listed organisations, alongside public and third-sector clients, helping them shape workplace strategy, employee experience and new ways of working. The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand the complexities of our clients’ businesses, recognise the challenges they face and translate those insights into meaningful commercial opportunities.
Working closely with our consultancy team, the role will involve generating and nurturing new business opportunities, expanding strategic networks, leading client engagement activity and supporting the development of tailored proposals, presentations and RFP responses. Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business opportunities within the real estate, workplace and corporate occupier sectors through industry relationships and market insight.
- Identify and engage organisations undergoing workplace change, relocation or transformation to position consultancy and workplace strategy services.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships across property, design, fit-out and workplace sectors to support business growth.
- Generate, nurture and convert leads through networking, events, thought leadership and targeted outreach campaigns.
- Lead the end-to-end business development process, including client meetings, proposals, presentations, RFP/RFI responses and pipeline management through CRM systems.
- Collaborate with leadership and consultancy teams to align business development activities with wider company growth objectives and market positioning.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- 4+ years’ experience in business development, consultancy sales or client relationship management within workplace consultancy, commercial real estate, design, architecture, fit-out or related sectors.
- Strong ability in MS Office
- Proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities within a professional services environment
- Demonstrable experience of writing successful proposals and responses to RFPs
- Experience of using Salesforce to track sales and prospects
- Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand client business drivers and organisational challenges.
- Experience developing strategic partnerships and managing senior client relationships.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally where required.

Benefits Include
- Salary package: £80k – £90k per annum including bonus and depending on experience
- 32 days holiday per annum (incl. Bank Holidays) rising to 37 linked to length of service
