Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Accommodation Officer to manage and coordinate temporary housing arrangements for clients in need. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth accommodation processes, maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders, and providing exceptional support to clients during transitional periods. This role offers an opportunity to utilise negotiation skills and specialise in property management systems such as Yardi, contributing to the organisation’s commitment to effective service delivery.

Duties

Coordinate and secure temporary accommodation for clients, ensuring suitability and compliance with organisational standards.
Negotiate terms and conditions with landlords, property managers, and external agencies to secure appropriate housing options.
Maintain accurate records of accommodation placements using property management software, particularly Yardi.
Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored housing solutions.
Monitor the condition of properties and ensure they meet health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth transitions for clients.
Prepare documentation related to accommodation agreements and maintain detailed case files.
Address any issues arising during the stay, acting as a point of contact for both clients and landlords.

Requirements

Proven experience in negotiation within property or housing sectors is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management systems is preferred.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an empathetic approach towards clients.
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective teamwork.
Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and safety standards is advantageous.
A proactive attitude with problem-solving capabilities. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to support individuals during critical transitional phases by ensuring access to suitable temporary accommodation through professional coordination and negotiation expertise.

Pay: £23.00-£30.00 per hour
