Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Electrical Estimator will play a vital part in project planning and budgeting, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates.
- Solar PV designs with technical assistance given.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather relevant pricing information.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and client requirements.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentation documents.
- Maintain an organised database of historical costs and supplier information for future reference.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating processes and tools.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role within the construction or electrical contracting industry.
- Solar PV design preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practices.
- Demonstrated ability in cost control and budget management for large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
