Paid Ads Specialist — Google Ads & LinkedIn Ads
Location: London N3 1HH
Company: Finchley Studios
Job Type: Freelance, part-time, 2–3 days per week
About Finchley Studios
Finchley Studios is a fast-growing media and production company with more than a decade of experience across film, video, broadcasting and digital content.
Our facilities include a high-ceiling Warehouse Production Stage, multiple premium podcast environments, a white infinity cove, green screen and blackout studios.
We work with production companies, agencies, brands, founders, corporate teams and content creators, providing professional spaces and production support for high-quality content creation.
We are now entering a major growth phase. As part of this expansion, we are looking for a skilled Paid Ads Specialist to help us improve, manage and scale our paid advertising activity.
Google Ads is currently the priority platform. The role will start with Google Search and campaign optimisation, then expand into LinkedIn Ads and other paid acquisition channels as the strategy develops.
Job Location
This is an in-house, in-person role based at Finchley Studios in Finchley, London N3 1HH.
The position is freelance and part-time, 2–3 days per week, with the potential to become full-time within 3–6 months based on performance, results and business needs.
The Role
We are looking for a mid-level Paid Ads Specialist who can manage, optimise and improve paid advertising campaigns that generate high-quality enquiries for Finchley Studios.
This is a hands-on role.
You will initially focus on Google Ads, reviewing and improving existing campaigns, keywords, search terms, ad copy, landing pages, conversion tracking and lead quality.
As performance improves, the role will expand into LinkedIn Ads, including campaigns targeting agencies, brands, founders, corporate teams and production companies.
The aim is not simply to generate clicks. The aim is to generate relevant enquiries, improve conversion quality and help Finchley Studios attract the right type of clients for studio hire, podcast production, video production and commercial filming.
You should understand how paid ads connect with landing pages, website behaviour, lead quality, sales follow-up and real business outcomes.
Responsibilities
You will:
Manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns.
Review existing campaign structure, keywords, search terms, budgets, bidding and ad copy.
Identify wasted spend and improve campaign efficiency.
Create and test new Google Search campaigns where required.
Write and test clear, high-converting ad copy.
Monitor keyword performance, negative keywords and search intent.
Improve lead quality, not just lead volume.
Review landing pages and recommend improvements to increase enquiries.
Set up, review or improve conversion tracking where required.
Produce simple weekly and monthly reports showing spend, enquiries, cost per lead, lead quality and recommended next actions.
Work with the founder and team to understand which enquiries are valuable and which are not.
Support the development of LinkedIn Ads campaigns once Google Ads activity is under control.
Build paid campaigns aimed at agencies, brands, production companies, founders and corporate marketing teams.
Help test different offers, audiences, messaging and landing pages.
Track campaign performance and continuously improve results.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will:
Audit current Google Ads performance.
Review which campaigns are producing genuine enquiries.
Reduce wasted spend from irrelevant search terms.
Improve campaign structure and keyword targeting.
Create better ad copy for podcast studio, video production, studio hire, green screen, blackout studio and production stage services.
Make practical landing page recommendations.
Track the quality of enquiries and adjust campaigns accordingly.
Prepare clear performance updates for the founder.
Build LinkedIn Ads campaigns when the Google Ads account is performing properly.
Test B2B audiences and messaging for production companies, agencies, brands and corporate teams.
Focus on measurable business impact rather than vanity metrics.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who understands paid advertising as a business growth tool.
You should be comfortable working directly with a founder, reviewing performance honestly and making clear recommendations.
You do not need to be a senior agency director, but you must have solid hands-on experience managing paid campaigns and improving results.
You should enjoy analysing campaigns, identifying problems and making practical changes that improve performance.
You must be confident working with budgets, keywords, search terms, ad copy, conversion tracking and landing page performance.
You should be commercially minded and understand that the quality of enquiries matters more than the number of clicks.
Skills and Experience
Applicants should have at least two years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
Experience with Google Search campaigns is essential.
Experience with LinkedIn Ads is highly desirable.
Experience with B2B lead generation is strongly preferred.
Experience with service businesses, agencies, studios, production companies, venues, events, media, creative services or professional services would be beneficial.
Applicants should have:
Strong Google Ads knowledge.
Good understanding of keyword intent and search behaviour.
Experience writing and testing paid search ad copy.
Ability to manage budgets and reduce wasted spend.
Understanding of conversion tracking and lead attribution.
Ability to analyse campaign data and explain it clearly.
Understanding of landing pages and conversion improvement.
Good written English.
Strong organisation and follow-through.
Confidence using spreadsheets and reporting tools.
A practical, commercially focused approach.
The right to work in the UK.
Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, CRM tracking or call tracking would be helpful.
Why Join Finchley Studios
This is an opportunity to work directly inside a growing London production business and have a clear impact on new enquiries, revenue and growth.
You will not be working in isolation. You will work closely with the founder and team to understand which leads are valuable, which services need more enquiries and where the best commercial opportunities are.
As the business grows, the role has the potential to expand from part-time freelance into a fuller paid acquisition and growth position.
Your Impact
Your work will directly contribute to better-quality enquiries, improved ad efficiency, lower wasted spend, stronger lead generation and increased studio utilisation.
This role is important to Finchley Studios’ next stage of growth.
