At GB Railfreight moving freight starts with moving people. Our traincrew and operational colleagues depend on safe, reliable and well-organised mobility solutions to be in the right place at the right time. We are seeking a skilled and logical-thinking Fleet Mobility Specialist to support the efficient operation of our Road Fleet function.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and confident in making decisions, and thrive in a busy fast-paced environment.
This would be an ideal next step for someone who already works within car hire, vehicle rental, mobility services, branch operations or corporate vehicle accounts.
The Fleet Mobility Specialist is a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of our people mobility operation. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of colleagues through a range of transport solutions, overcoming logistical challenges and making effective decisions to keep operations running smoothly. Working closely with suppliers of leased, owned and rental vehicles, as well as a variety of service providers, you will help deliver a seamless and efficient transport service across the business.
This role can be based in our Peterborough or Doncaster office, regular travel will be required. This an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving continuous improvement and supporting a vital operational function.
The salary on offer for this role is £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the efficiency of mobility services and looking for ways to evolve and improve efficiencies in the way we and our suppliers operate:
- Ensure all bookings of hire vehicles are placed efficiently, accurately and confirmed in a timely manner.
- Work with the wider team to ensure accurate and timely production of the weekly Hire Car Plan.
- Resolve any issues faced by traincrew and other internal users arising from hire car, taxi or other mobility solution suppliers ensuring delivery of an efficient and timely service.
- Maintain all systems and processes necessary for the efficient and optimum functioning of the Road Fleet department.
Process and allocate any Notices of Intended Prosecution and other traffic related offences to the persons responsible swiftly and review systems and processes regularly to ensure resolution and minimise legal risk against GBRf
Engage with other internal departments and ensure all activities are aligned to deliver a seamless service.
Collaborate with all Road fleet team members to ensure daily clearance of the shared mailbox enquiries.
- Answer all incoming calls and deal with queries or call back with resolutions.
All other Road Fleet related tasks as directed by the Road Fleet Manager/Senior Fleet Mobility Specialist
- Continuance of Tolls and Crossing charging management.
- Carry out regular reviews and provide reports and analysis in relation to driving standards and compliance of vehicle users
- Analyse usage of vehicles, taxis and fuel cards to ensure compliances against our driving, expenses and other policies
- Assist the Road Fleet Manager with implementing the fleet strategy as amended from time to time
Skills and Experience
Highly resilient with proven organisational skills to cope with a fast-changing environment and multiple concurrent tasks
Strong ability, knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office products.
Capable of working in partnership with others, able to successfully motivate, engage, and drive change initiatives to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understanding of fleet management lifecycle including dealing with fines, DVLA, insurance, fleet Providers, and garage services.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with experience of collecting, organising and sharing information accurately.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to manage, influence, leverage persuasion, and negotiation to build effective relationships.
