Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Intern to join our finance team. This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting within a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will support various financial projects, analyse data, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. Strong organisational skills, analytical ability, and proficiency in relevant software are essential for this role.

Duties

Assist in preparing financial reports and analysing financial data using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Support the development of financial models and forecasts aligned with organisational objectives.
Utilise SQL to extract and manipulate data from databases for analysis purposes.
Contribute to financial planning activities by gathering and analysing relevant information.
Assist in creating presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial documentation.
Maintain organised records of financial data, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Support ad hoc analysis tasks as required by the finance team.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and organisational tools.
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Familiarity with Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
Knowledge of financial planning principles and analysis techniques.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and IT systems relevant to finance functions.
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under deadlines. This internship provides valuable exposure to the core functions of financial analysis within a professional setting, ideal for students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in finance or related fields.

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
