Full job description

Achieve that healthy work/life balance as one of our hourly-paid EFL Teachers over the summer months.

Our EFL Teachers are welcomed into our friendly and professional English teaching team, at Stafford House School, based centrally in London. Our school is easily reached within a 2-minute walk from Holborn station, offering an easy commute.

You will teach general English classes from beginner to advanced, with the potential to teach exam classes. Our students vary in age from 14 to adult, providing a great opportunity to teach a range of levels. In addition, you will take part in a variety of social activities to support our students, as well as paid CPD sessions.

We welcome experienced and newly qualified teachers, as we help to support your training and development.

Although this is a sessional contract, all teachers are welcomed equally, becoming part of the wider Stafford House team from day one.

Flexible contract lengths (4-6 weeks) between late June - August 2026
We welcome newly qualified and experienced teachers
Small class sizes (up to 16 students)
Anticipated 20-25 hours per week. This will consist of minimum of 15 hours of teaching and up to 10 additional hours of paid CPD/Social Activities
Hourly rates: £23.01 - £26.32 per contact/teaching hour depending on experience, and £14.85 for CPD/Social Activities - *successful candidates are expected to take part in teaching/CPD/Social Activities as outlined above, as part of their contract

What you need to become part of the Stafford House Teaching Team:

CELTA required
Degree or equivalent preferred
DELTA or MA Qualified (desirable)
Teaching experience preferred but not essential
