3. Spring season - 15th March-5th June
Mondays 4-6 pm, 2.30 pm-6 pm, Fridays 3.30 pm-6 pm
Each terms contain school break that class would not take place.
The role would start w/c 7th September 2026
Overall Purpose:
To deliver pre-competition coaching sessions to students aged 7-18 from the ASL community, for the swim training program at The Aquatics and Fitness Center. The sessions run term time in line with ASL school dates. It will include sessions for our beginners, intermediates, and advanced swimmers.
Summary of Major Responsibilities
- Support the effective, safe, and fun delivery of the swim training program
- Work with the Assistant Aquatics and Fitness Managers to support the Aquatic and Fitness swimming programs where required
- Support a safe and secure environment for swimmers in the pool
- Assist with the possible collection/drop off of students, as and when required
- Other responsibilities within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role as determined by the Operations Manager
Essential qualifications/experience
- Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach/Swimming Coach or STA Award in Teaching Swimming/coaching, or proven coaching experience (international qualifications considered)
- Substantive experience coaching swimming to children aged 7-18
- Up-to-date knowledge of pool Health & Safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a fun, professional, and welcoming pool environment for users
- A proven commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children
Desirable qualifications/experience
- Swim England/STA Level 2 Swim Teacher
- RLSS or STA Swim Teacher Rescue Award, or the willingness to undertake training
- RLSS valid NPLQ
