Duties
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer requests, ensuring high-quality presentation.
- Prepare various types of cakes including custom cakes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely production of cakes for orders.
- Assist in the development of new cake designs and flavours to enhance our product offerings.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of decorating supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
Skills
- Proficient in decorating cakes
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Experience working as a cake decorator in commercial environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creative mindset with an ability to conceptualise unique designs for cakes.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Friendly and confident when speaking with customers
- Comfortable handling phone calls and taking custom orders
- Willing to help in other areas of the kitchen as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
