Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Food and Beverage Cost Controller to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
This role is designed to be recognised as a trusted and valued member of the Finance leadership team. You will support the Finance Lead in training and development initiatives to cultivate best‑in‑class finance professionals, while contributing to the ongoing strengthening of the finance function.
As a Food and Beverage Cost Controller, you will provide expert financial oversight of Food and Beverage operations, ensuring robust cost controls and the effective implementation of cost‑efficient practices across all outlets. You will prepare detailed financial analyses, produce key reports, and lead regular reviews to ensure stakeholders remain informed of trends, variances, and cost drivers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Analyse and direct corrective actions to address activities that negatively impact Food & Beverage profitability
Support the efficient and compliant operation of the Finance Department, in line with policy, regulatory, and contractual requirements
Act as a proactive finance business partner to the hotel finance team and Food & Beverage leadership
Contribute to and participate in all relevant finance training and development programmes. Where applicable, undertake responsibilities outlined in joint role descriptions, in full compliance with Hilton’s job segregation policies
What are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and the confidence to partner at senior levels within a luxury hospitality environment:
Exceptional ability to analyse high volumes of complex financial data from multiple sources, producing clear reports, forecasts, and projections
Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to address challenges collaboratively and effectively
A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate, identify, and mitigate potential risks
Capability to support the development of analytical and problem‑solving skills within the wider team
A high level of initiative, with the ability to prioritise and implement actions that enable team success
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Confidence in preparing and delivering financial presentations to senior leadership, hotel ownership, and key stakeholders
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels of management and with external partners
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, alongside strong working knowledge of Word and Outlook, and the agility to learn new systems quickly
