Mascot Performer and Brand Ambassador - Become Hugo the Hummingbird
Two days. One hummingbird costume. A whole festival of HR and L&D pros to win over.
We're 5Mins, the AI-powered platform that delivers compliance, leadership, and role-based training through TikTok-style microlearning. This June we're sponsoring the CIPD Festival of Work, one of the biggest HR and L&D events in the UK, and we need an actor to bring our mascot, Hugo the hummingbird, to life across both days of the show.
If you love performing, come alive in a crowd, and can hold a room without saying a word, this one is for you.
About the role Hugo is the face of 5Mins, and for two days, you'll be Hugo. You'll perform at our stand and work the exhibition floor - greeting people, posing for photos, and pulling the crowd toward us, where we'll be running a Lucky Dip competition everyone will want a go at.
This is a non-speaking role. Everything happens through movement, gesture, and big, expressive energy. A feel for physical comedy and reading a crowd will take you a long way.
What you'll do
- Perform as Hugo across both days of the CIPD Festival of Work
- Pose for photos and make every interaction fun and memorable
- Keep the energy high at our stand and pull in a crowd
- Walk the exhibition floor to guide attendees back to the 5Mins stand
- Point visitors toward our Lucky Dip competition
- Communicate through gesture and body language while in costume
What we're looking for
- Happy to be on your feet and in (a hot!) costume for a full day
- Outgoing and warm, with a knack for connecting with people fast
- Reliable and punctual, with the stamina for two busy days

The details
- Dates: Wednesday 10 June and Thursday 11 June
- Hours: Wednesday 08:30 - 16:00 and Thursday 08:30 - 15:30
- Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch break (13:00 - 14:00) each day, plus regular paid cool-down breaks
- Pay: £16 per hour - total pay for both days is £200 (12.5 paid hours)
- Location: CIPD Festival of Work, London
- Experience: Acting, mascot, or event sponsorship experience preferred (not essential)
