Something wag-worthy is happening in Wapping, and we’re looking for a Dog Groomer who’s ready to build their craft with us.
Dogeast isn’t your average pet shop, we want to be the heart of the dog-loving community in Wapping and East London, bringing premium pet care closer to home. We bring together top-quality pet supplies, expert grooming, and a genuinely welcoming space for dogs and their humans. We’re building a pack, and there’s a real place in it for a groomer who’s early in their journey and keen to grow.
The Role
You’ve got the basics under your belt and you’re ready to build real confidence and skill. You’ll groom dogs in a calm, supportive environment, learning alongside experienced groomers who genuinely want to help you get better - not just keep the column moving. This is a brilliant spot for someone with a learning mindset who wants room to develop.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Carry out grooms - bathing, drying, clipping, and styling - building towards full grooms across more breeds and coat types
- Provide nail trims, ear cleaning, and tidy finishing touches
- Learn from and work alongside experienced groomers, taking on more as your confidence grows
- Handle every dog calmly and patiently, with welfare always coming first
- Talk with owners about their dog’s groom - friendly, warm, and reassuring
- Keep the salon and your equipment spotless and to a high hygiene standard
- Muck in as part of a small, supportive team of genuine dog people

What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of professional grooming experience
- Level 2 dog grooming qualification (or equivalent hands-on training and experience)
- Comfortable with bathing, drying, clipping, and basic styling - and keen to widen your range
- Genuinely eager to learn, take feedback, and develop your craft
- A grooming portfolio or examples of your work, and references from previous employment
- Eligible to work in the UK
