Join Our Team as a Family Contact Supervisor – Croydon

Location: Croydon South
Hours: Sessional
Organisation: Swan Family

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives?
An exciting opportunity has opened up at Swan Family for caring, motivated, and child-focused individuals to join our friendly and supportive team as Family Contact Supervisor at Croydon childrens centre.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, compassionate team delivering a vital service that helps families build and maintain positive relationships in a safe, nurturing environment.

What You’ll Do

In this rewarding and varied role, you’ll:

Support and supervise family time between children and their birth families, both in our centres and out in the community.
Observe and record sessions in a sensitive and factual way, ensuring that every child’s experience is positive and safe.
Liaise with social workers and professionals, sharing observations and raising any concerns when needed.
Transport and accompany children and young people safely to and from contact sessions.
Promote safeguarding at all times, following Swan Family’s policies and procedures.
Attend meetings and training, ensuring you’re always growing in your role.

You’ll be joining a creative, supportive, and child-centred team that takes pride in providing excellent care and being a positive force in each child’s life.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

Empathetic, calm, and non-judgemental in your approach.
A great communicator, able to build trust with children, families, and professionals.
Reliable and organised, with a genuine passion for supporting families and helping children thrive.

Essential Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People’s Workforce or a related field.
An up-to-date DBS for working with children and adults (we can help with this if needed).

Desirable:

A full driving licence and access to a car (helpful but not essential).
