Freelance Operations & Programme Coordinator

Lively Sprout

Part-time Freelance| Approx. 5 hours per week initially

**Location:** Hybrid – Remote with occasional in-person sessions, visits and meetings across South London

**Pay:** £18–20 per hour (depending on experience)

**About Us**

Lively Sprout is a growing youth enrichment organisation delivering creative, educational and life-skills programmes for children and young people. Our activities include after-school clubs, holiday programmes, workshops, trips, sports, arts and community initiatives — all designed to help young people build confidence, skills and opportunities.

**The Role**

We're looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Freelance Operations & Programme Coordinator to support the day-to-day running and growth of our programmes. This is a flexible role ideal for someone with strong administrative and coordination skills who is passionate about community impact and youth development.

Whilst much of this role can be done remotely, you will be expected to cover some in-person sessions and travel to various locations across South London for meetings, events and site visits as needed. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on additional hours by running sessions or working at our holiday clubs.

**Responsibilities**

- Creating and managing registrations, forms and attendance records

- Supporting communication with parents, schools and facilitators

- Coordinating schedules, calendars and session logistics

- Covering in-person sessions and representing Lively Sprout at events and meetings when required

- Assisting with onboarding freelance staff and collecting documents

- Supporting programme planning and administration

- Helping organise resources, venues and activities

- Assisting with funding applications, reports and monitoring

- Supporting social media and general admin tasks where needed

- Maintaining organised systems and records using Google Drive, Forms and spreadsheets

- Providing operational support for holiday clubs, trips and special events

**We're Looking For Someone Who Is:**

- Highly organised and proactive

- Friendly and professional in communication

- Confident working independently and as part of a team

- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities

- Proficient with digital systems and admin tools

- Reliable, solutions-focused and able to use their initiative

- Passionate about supporting children, families and communities

- Comfortable travelling to different locations across South London as required

**Desirable Experience**

- Administration or operations experience

- Experience in schools, youth work, charities or community organisations

- Experience coordinating programmes, events or projects

- Knowledge of safeguarding and working with children

- Experience delivering sessions or working directly with young people (advantageous for those interested in additional hours)

- Social media or basic marketing experience

- Opportunity for additional hours during holiday programmes, projects and session delivery for suitable candidates

- Enhanced DBS required
