Full job description

We are a small group personal training gym looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner / Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a clean, welcoming, and professional environment for our members and staff.

This role focuses on keeping our front-of-house areas, changing rooms, office spaces, and contrast therapy facilities spotless and well-presented. Please note: this position does not include cleaning the gym floor or training equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and maintaining reception and front-of-house areas
Cleaning office spaces, staff areas
Cleaning changing room facilities, showers, sinks & toilets
Cleaning our contrast therapy space; ice baths & sauna
Hoovering, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
Emptying bins and replenishing consumables (toilet roll, soap, towels, etc.)
Ensuring all areas are clean, tidy, and presentable throughout the day
Reporting any maintenance or supply issues to management
Following hygiene and health & safety standards

Hours of Work:

Cleaning shifts are 3.5 hours long, 6 days per week.

Monday–Friday: 7:30pm – 11:00pm (approx.)
Saturday or Sunday: from 12:00pm (flexible start time)

Hours are preferred as above, but we can be flexible where needed and will discuss scheduling with the right candidate.

Skills:
- Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if necessary
- Knowledge of cleaning products and their proper usage
