London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s fire and rescue service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city. Employing over 5000 people across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer 999 calls), fire safety and our non-operational team (our team who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, which includes Fleet, IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, Communications team and many more).
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to join our Front-Line Operations Procurement Team, providing vital operational and administrative support to ensure an efficient, high quality service across the organisation.
This is a hands on role that plays a key part in the day to day management of uniform processes, supplier liaison and stakeholder support, requiring a strong on site presence and excellent attention to detail.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the central clothing mailbox, responding to queries and ensuring issues are resolved promptly
- Administer the Undress Uniform scheme and coordinate uniform fittings with tailors
- Oversee all clothing processes for leavers, including:
Checking and recording returned items
Analysing leaver data
Chasing outstanding returns
Managing stock levels
Coordinating alterations with suppliers and staff
- Deal with laundry related issues and enquiries
- Maintain accurate SAP clothing and equipment catalogues
You will also act as a key point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, supporting supplier registration, resolving queries and maintaining effective working relationships.
Alongside operational responsibilities, you’ll provide administrative and engagement support, including:
- Minute taking and preparation of written documentation
- Producing spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Assisting with events, supplier engagement and market engagement activities

1. Experience in an administrative or operational support role managing multiple tasks and Workflows.
2. Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and/or external suppliers.

4. Experience maintaining accurate records, logs, or inventory information with professional written communication skills.

Criminal records check
