Full job description

About the role:

The successful candidate will support client onboarding, customer due diligence, KYC verification, and AML compliance processes while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced professional environment, collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients, and contribute to maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct KYC and customer due diligence (CDD) checks for new and existing clients.
Perform client verification, sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and basic AML screening where required.
Ensure all KYC, onboarding, and customer due diligence activities are conducted in compliance with applicable UK regulatory requirements, FCA guidelines, and internal company policies.
Review client profiles, ownership structures, and supporting documentation.
Support onboarding processes, account opening, and customer servicing activities.
Maintain accurate client records, databases, and compliance documentation.
Investigate alerts, discrepancies, or missing information and escalate issues where necessary.
Assist with ongoing monitoring, audits, and reporting processes.
Liaise with clients and internal teams to obtain required documentation and resolve queries.
Support operational improvements, workflow management, and compliance procedures.
Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.

Requirements & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification.
2 to 4 years of experience in KYC, AML, onboarding, compliance, operations, or a related field.
Basic understanding of AML regulations, customer due diligence, and onboarding processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional certifications related to compliance or financial services would be an advantage
