Full job description

THE ROLE:
A full or part-time butcher is required for our busy butchery within our farm shop in Godstone, Surrey. This is an ideal role for a mature person with butchery skills able to work under pressure preparing to a high standard during busy periods. Flexible hours & days, does involve some weekend work. We are an expanding business and are looking for dynamic staff to help us take the business forwards. Working within a small team of highly motivated staff. Would also consider a newly qualified butcher/chef with knife skills.

DUTIES:
Cutting & preparing meat, serving customers, maintaining and creating inviting displays and preparing & creating products. Upselling of products and cross-selling with farmshop.

PERSON SPECIFICATION/RESPONSIBILITIES :
- butchery experience necessary/desired
- would suit a mature person with a great work ethic
- highly motivated
- reliable and punctual
- friendly personality
- excellent Customer service skills essential

- demonstrate proficiency in butchery techniques, handling meat cuts with precision and safety

- maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, including proper sanitation, storage, and handling procedures
- focused on customer needs & care.
- ability to work as part of a small dynamic team
- references required
