Job Summary
Surrey Link Transport is looking for reliable and professional Epsom & Ewell licensed or Hackney Carriage licensed drivers to join our school transport team, providing safe and punctual home-to-school transport for children, including pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

This role is ideal for drivers who are caring, patient, punctual and confident working around children and vulnerable passengers. Routes are usually during school term time, with morning and afternoon school runs.

Pay

£100–£200 per day, depending on the route, distance, vehicle requirement and contract.

Duties include

Safely transporting pupils between home and school.

Ensuring passengers are collected and dropped off on time.

Maintaining a calm, professional and respectful manner with pupils, parents, carers and school staff.

Working with a Passenger Assistant where required.

Reporting delays, concerns, incidents or passenger changes promptly to the operator.

Keeping the vehicle clean, roadworthy, insured and correctly licensed.

Following safeguarding, confidentiality and professional conduct requirements at all times.

Requirements

Valid Epsom & Ewell Private Hire or Hackney Carriage Driver Licence.

Valid UK driving licence.

Enhanced DBS / willingness to complete required checks.

SSTAT Authorised ID Badge preferred, or willingness to apply.

Good spoken English and clear communication skills.

Reliable, patient and professional attitude.

Experience with SEN school transport is preferred but not essential.

Own licensed vehicle preferred.

Working pattern

Part-time / school term time.

Monday to Friday.

Morning and afternoon school runs.

Typical hours are around school pickup/drop-off times.
