Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking experienced (2 years minimum) and professional PCV Bus Drivers to support rail replacement services across London and surrounding areas.

You will play a key role in ensuring passengers are transported safely and efficiently during planned engineering works, service disruptions, and emergency rail closures.

This is a fast-paced, customer-facing driving role requiring strong route awareness, reliability, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

Operate rail replacement bus services across designated London rail corridors
Transport passengers safely between rail stations and alternative stops
Follow strict schedules during engineering works and service disruption
Deliver clear and professional communication with passengers
Navigate unfamiliar routes using provided instructions and maps
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
Comply with all DVSA, tachograph (if applicable), and company regulations
Maintain high standards of customer service during disruption situations.

Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a PCV Bus Driver (essential)
Valid UK PCV (Category D) licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Strong knowledge of London or busy urban driving environments
Confident handling of high passenger volumes and disruption scenarios
Night shift or weekend/bank holiday shift flexibility
Previous rail replacement driving experience (strong bonus)
London bus route experience

Pay: £17.00-£23.00 per hour
