WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Onsite Support Technician will work in partnership with the customer, management team, global helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs

Provide media support: flawless execution of Audio/Video conferences and broadcast events, by providing technical expertise in the operation of Audio-Visual equipment for small to large scale events. These range from video shoots with multiple cameras and layered graphics, to Global Town Halls.

Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces

Provide technical support for AV equipment and systems, including video conferencing systems, LED video walls, control systems, audio processors, and digital signage.

Provide field service support of networked devices

Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL

Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties

Provide job site documentation and end user training as needed

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-conference testing to ensure all video and audio components are functioning correctly. Monitor video conferences to maintain audiovisual quality and troubleshoot any disruptions.

Troubleshoot equipment and system failures as they arise: A solid understanding of audio and video equipment, signal flow, digital interfaces, and various audio and video formats is essential.

Travel to various job sites as required

Client Engagement: Responded to client inquiries in person, via phone, and email regarding room setup, A/V and conferencing capabilities and make suggestions for proper setup and use of equipment for successful meetings.

Responsible for live seamless switching, graphic and presentation display as well as controlling remote callers via zoom.

AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
-
3+ years of AV related experience in a professional setting
-
Digital Audio Mixer operation for live and recorded events. (Yamaha, Behringer, etc.)
-
Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
-
Candidates should have some experience in a customer-facing time sensitive capacity.
-
Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
-
Basic computer knowledge
-
Understanding of signal flow for audio, video, and control
-
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Must be flexible to work after hours and weekends when required
-
User level knowledge of Bi-amp, Q-sys, Extron HDBaseT systems, Polycom and Cisco Video Conferencing.

Zoom Webinar operational experience.
-
MS Teams operational experience
-
Control room operational experience
-
EXTRON/AMX room automation experience
-
PTZ Camera operational experience.
Nice-To-Haves:
-
Formal education in Electronics or related field
-
Intermediate PC troubleshooting knowledge
