Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging with patrons in a lively environment. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred, along with a good understanding of food safety standards and responsible serving practices. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and recipes
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
Ensure all drinks are served safely, adhering to legal alcohol service regulations
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Manage stock levels and assist with inventory checks as needed
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-service
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food safety and hygiene standards

Experience

Previous experience working in a hospitality environment, particularly in bars or restaurants, is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations applicable to the hospitality industry
Proven ability to serve responsibly and handle challenging situations professionally
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Familiarity with serving techniques and cocktail preparation is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour
