Job Summary
To build the Commodities business for clients in Europe and Americas along with global product development.
Leverage familiarity with derivatives-based solutions to originate and execute FM business
Focus on building and growth of suitable commodity linked financing solutions relevant for clients in Europe and Americas with Global replication opportunities
Support junior members of the team and help them design, promote and execute bespoke derivatives-based and financing solutions for the bank’s clients
Demonstrate excellent soft skills including deal communications and strong team play
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the Group Business strategy and model appropriate to the role. Contribute towards the improvement of product offering to clients thanks to development of new products and new payoffs.
Work together with Structuring team and in close cooperation with Sales and Traders to provide and deliver innovative and cutting-edge structuring with a focus to grow Commodities and Financing business
Drive service excellence via robust product origination, bespoke solutions, holistic hedging strategies
Develop and drive new product structures, financing products in partnership with stakeholders to enhance efficiency and expansion of the business
Take more ownership of the regional sales revenue
Business
Idea generation: support sales team in translating a specific need or view into a tailor-made solution/product which aligns SCB’s appropriately & compliance policy.
Identify client needs and develop them into business opportunities by creating solutions in the simplest, most sustainable and globally replicable manner.
Responsibilities include:

Work in developing key Client relationships in the Corporates, BBD and Investors space
Work with stakeholders in setting up new business avenues
Analyse and quantify exposure arising from client’s balance sheet, cashflows and investments and provide tailored hedging solutions
Partner with non-specialist Markets sales to generate sustainable growth

Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations
Ensure adherence with the obligations to prevent money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations
Contribute towards highlighting any need to update procedures and controls as a result of changes in products, systems, policy or regulations
Structuring is not responsible under the ORF (Operational Risk Framework) as 1st & 2nd line; for executing / completing, and for supervising any of the FM processes

Ensure great teamwork across different hubs and efficient execution of BAU tasks
Circulate information and share ideas plus participation in regular team calls
Continuous collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of the best solutions to clients in a timely manner
Risk Management / Risk Governance
Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
Identify and assess the various risks inherent to specific client transactions (market risks, credit risk, legal & compliance, operational risk).
Understand and address clients’ specific objectives and constraints: make use of the acquired knowledge to answer clients’ queries and offer solutions in accordance with the clients’ objectives and constraints.
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner
