Full job description

Join our team at BobaBot by Roboccino, an innovative takeaway-only robotic shop serving bubble tea, matcha lattes, iced coffee, and much more at Baker Street Station, London NW1.

Since our robotic system handles drink assembly, your shift will be split across ingredient preparation, customer engagement, system monitoring, and equipment cleaning.

Engaging with customers is an essential part of this role, helping them with the ordering process, explaining the robotic system, and converting curious passersby into customers through samples and conversation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cook tapioca, brew tea batches, and prepare syrups and toppings for the day
Restock robot components and respond to system alerts throughout the shift
Engage with the public outside the shop, explain the robotic system, and encourage them to try our menu
Help customers with the ordering process and manage flow during busy periods
Offer samples and convert curious passersby into customers
Run daily operations independently during your shift
Receive deliveries and check quality
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards to a high standard
Problem-solve and make decisions when issues arise

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

--- Essential:

Experience in food preparation, tapioca cooking, batch tea brewing, or similar ingredient work
High attention to detail, particularly around cleanliness and hygiene
Outgoing personality, comfortable approaching and engaging with the public
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently

--- Strongly Preferred:

Background in hospitality
Experience with opening/closing procedures
Understanding of bulk food preparation and ingredient freshness
Food hygiene certificate

--- Nice to Have:

Experience in high-volume bubble tea operations
Comfortable creating social media content

IMPORTANT DETAILS

You will work in a compact robotic preparation area at Baker Street Station. Customers order and collect from outside.
No drink-making experience needed. The robot handles all drink preparation. We are looking for someone who understands food prep operations and enjoys customer interaction.
This is a solo shift environment, so comfort working independently is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 30.0 per week
