Job Introduction

Opportunities are available for Team Admin Assistants, working within our Commercial team. These roles can be based at any of our local offices within our 4 licence areas – South West, West Midlands, East Midlands or South Wales and the base location will be agreed with successful candidates.

Reporting to the Commercial Projects Manager (East & West Midlands) or the Vegetation Management Lead, you’ll provide administrative assistance and project support to the Commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive Commercial team, where you'll play a key role in delivering essential services and projects. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of commercial and operational activities while developing your skills within a respected and nationally recognised organisation.

We support flexible hybrid working, with a blend of office and home working available for this role. Hybrid working arrangements can be considered once initial training has been successfully completed and will be aligned to business needs.

Main Responsibilities

Interaction with contractors and supply chain partners to support resolution of issues
Develop and issue Work Instructions for centrally managed works
Maintain and update commercial processes, procedures and policy documentation
Manage and monitor shared inboxes, ensuring enquiries are prioritised and responded to within agreed timescales
Handle telephone enquiries from customers, contractors and stakeholders, providing a professional and customer-focused service
Support the administration and coordination of large-scale commercial projects and programmes
Investigate and resolve customer enquiries and complaints, escalating complex issues where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for an organised and proactive administrator with experience working in a busy office environment, ideally supporting large-scale projects, programmes or operational activities.

You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, handling shared inboxes and telephone enquiries, and providing effective administrative support to a diverse team. Strong customer service skills are essential, as you'll be comfortable speaking directly with customers, resolving queries and complaints wherever possible, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.

You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work accurately under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is important, along with a willingness to learn new systems.

Above all, you'll be a collaborative team player who can use your own initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

Whilst a driving licence is not essential, successful candidates must be willing and able to travel occasionally across our licence areas when required.
