Strategy and Growth Director

We're looking for a Strategy and Growth Director to lead our Business Development team where you'll shape the future growth of a nationally recognised frameworks business.
Your new job
This is a high-impact leadership role and as Strategy and Growth Director within the construction and the built environment sector, you'll lead the development and delivery of ambitious growth plans, working closely with senior leaders to drive commercial success and expand market reach.
You'll take ownership of an established regional and national business development team and build strong relationships with clients and partners while influencing sector-wide thinking.
This is a role for someone who thrives on leading the operationalisation of strategic plans, unlocking new markets, and positioning organisations for sustained, long-term growth. The individual would ideally have practical experience of public sector frameworks and have a good understanding of current issues and trends including those related to the Governments' construction strategy and social value.
What you'll do

Define and deliver a clear business development strategy aligned to a multi-year growth plan.

Lead, coach and inspire a national team of Business Development Managers to exceed performance targets.

Ensure Regional delivery plans compliment and contribute toward wider Group and business strategic objectives.

Drive revenue growth across a diverse portfolio by building a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Develop and maintain senior relationships with strategic clients, partners and key stakeholders.

Identify new markets, sectors and opportunities, turning insights into actionable plans that position SCAPE appropriately.

Collaborate across the organisation to align growth, marketing and commercial strategies.

Represent the organisation externally at industry events, forums and senior-level engagements.

Use data, forecasting and market intelligence to inform decision-making and optimise performance.

Contribute to board-level discussions, providing insight into growth, performance and future opportunities.

Champion innovation in delivery solutions to create long-term, high-value partnerships.
What you'll bring

A proven track record of delivering growth in a commercial, work winning or business development leadership role within the built environment.

Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into measurable outcomes.

Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, ideally in a national or dispersed structure.

Exceptional relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage at senior stakeholder level.

Commercial acumen and the ability to navigate complex markets, ideally within the public or regulated sector.

A data-driven approach, using insight and performance metrics to shape decisions.

Strong influencing skills and credibility to represent the organisation at industry level.

Ideally, you'd have a degree level of equivalent qualification in property, construction or business management.
