Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to oversee the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or damage, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential.

Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks
Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity across the site
Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary
Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or activities
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes
Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes when required
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations
Ensure all security protocols are adhered to and report any breaches or hazards immediately

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring procedures
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, including administering first aid when necessary
Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records and reports
Good communication skills for liaising with team members, visitors, and authorities
Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols across large areas

This position is vital in maintaining a secure environment, ensuring safety for all personnel on-site. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, vigilance, and a proactive approach to security management.

Pay: £12.21-£18.64 per hour
