Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene practices, temperature controls, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary, supporting team members during busy periods.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, supporting serving staff as needed.
- Organise shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor staff performance to optimise productivity.
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies as required, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, or restaurant operations.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff.
- Practical knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
