Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanic with a valid driving licence to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling a variety of vehicles This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent listening skills, physical strength for heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to carry out repairs and assembly tasks.
Perform vehicle assembly, disassembly, and reassembly as required.
Carry out welding tasks to repair or modify components.
Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational standards.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with management regarding repairs and maintenance needs.

Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanic specialising in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics accurately.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding environments.
Valid driving licence is essential .
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
